Field Note: A Travel Capsule from Delhi to Goa
What we packed for a four-day research trip: light layers, tactile separates, and accessories that adjust to climate swings.
Capsule rules we used
Every packed piece had to style into at least three looks and perform across two weather profiles. This eliminated one-off garments and kept luggage tight.
We selected mostly breathable fibers with one structured outer layer for flights and late-night coastal wind. Result: fewer items, more usable combinations.
The winning combinations
A wrap shirt plus wide trouser handled daytime work blocks with ease. For evening, we swapped in a textured overshirt and belt for sharper structure.
Compact accessories did most of the visual reset. One scarf and one mule updated repeated looks without adding bulk to the bag.
